Latest Developments and Announcements

This is a communication bulletin to all SRNW members to keep them informed on the latest developments on the committee front.

Our last chairman, Paul Smith, has rendered his resignation effective from 1 March 2025. The committee, on behalf of all members, wishes him well and extends heartfelt thanks for his time as chairman and his achievements for the community.

At the last SRNW executive committee meeting on 7 April 2025, a new chairman was elected.

The committee is grateful to announce the appointment of Andre Mostert as the new SRNW chairman. Andre is no stranger to the committee, having served as a member for the last four years. He is a seasoned Residential Estate Manager, has a background in the security environment, and is a military veteran who held a senior staff officer rank. We believe his leadership will effectively steer SRNW through the troubled waters facing both the country and our community.

To ensure that the committee remains abreast of an ever-changing environment, one of the first items to be addressed in the constitution of the SRNW will be the clause prohibiting serving security-related service providers from serving on the committee. This needs to be brought to a vote, and in due course, a Special General Meeting (SGM) or poll will be circulated to address this matter.

We also extend our thanks for the loyal support of SRNW members and hope for continued support in the Easter beach initiative at SRMB and surrounding areas. The committee, along with the newly appointed chairman, is committed to serving the Ward 22 community, keeping up with trends, and ensuring the community’s safety. This is a combined effort, not solely the responsibility of the committee. We need your support and initiative suggestions.
